Training the Hsing I Dragon
The Hsing I "Dragon Style" is one of the 12 Hsing I Animal Forms.
Each Hsing I animal style has a specific lesson that goes with it. The Tiger teaches the use of integrated power expressed through the rib cage (intercostal muscles), the snake teaches "coiling power" expressed through a vertical rising hand strike. Of the twelve animal styles, the Dragon is the most important. This animal form teaches the student to remove "rest point" fulcrums throughout the body. It is very effective in helping the student learn coiling-serpintine like power and to develop strong kicking.
